Kybella is the first treatment ever approved by the FDA to directly eliminate fat cells in the skin. Its main ingredient is deoxycholic acid. This acid exists naturally in our bodies to help break down the fat we eat. But now, aestheticians can use it to break down fat in specific areas of the body. The experts at Aère Aesthetics use Kybella to eliminate fat in clients’ double chin, mouth, and jowl.

After cleansing and applying a topical numbing cream or other comfort measures, a series of small injections is made into the treatment area using a fine needle. Most visits take around 20–30 minutes once preparation is complete. You can expect noticeable swelling in the days that follow as the product begins working in the fat layer.
Kybella is designed to improve submental fullness, the extra padding beneath the chin that can create the look of a double chin or soften the angle between the jaw and neck. This fullness may be influenced by genetics, aging, or weight changes, and it can persist even in otherwise slender patients.
